It has been hot! Nearly 100 degrees here in Morris County, New Jersey. And in the town of Boonton, there’s also a pack of hot dogs – hot in an artsy kind of way. They’re life-sized, fiber-glass creations decorated by local artists which have been unleashed along the town’s Main Street.
There’s a city dog.
A super hero dog.
Even a couple to PAWblo Picassos.
Not to be out done, There are cats.
This one is MEOWsical.
There’s even a dog, dressed up as a cat. PURRfect!
Every year Boonton hosts a Dog Days of Summer Festival that begins with a leash cutting ceremony. Art dogs (and cats) are up for adoption until September 28. Funds go to benefit The North Star Animal League.
It’s a great way to take your mind off of the heat wave, while helping animals in need.
And how cool is that?
