The Puppy Bowl

What! Your favorite team didn’t get into the Super Bowl?  You can still enjoy an exciting game by turning in to The Animal Planet for Puppy Bowl XIII.

Over 49 puppies are divided into Team Ruff and Team Fluff who will compete in a 19’ x 10’ stadium, dragging football-shaped toys into the end zone. Just like in other football games there are penalties. But in this game they’re for napping, howling, illegal bathing in water bowls, and relieving him or herself on the field. No game is complete without entertainment and cheerleaders. So there’s a half-time kitty show and chickens leading the cheers on the sidelines.

The players come from different shelters. Usually, by the time the show airs, all have found a FUR-ever home.

According to People magazine, this year’s line-up includes:

doobert
